It’s beginning to feel like Christmas…
Since Owen, Ella’s brother, was born, our family has a tradition that we will decorate a Christmas tree together every year. This year, we followed the tradition, as the first weekend in December, John got out the Christmas tree box. With some Christmas music in the background, Owen and Ella started to decorate the tree.
It’s always Owen’s job to get the tree set up and Ella gets all of the ornaments out. Ella is always very excited to find the ornaments she likes.
Owen is a lot taller than Ella and if he stands on a chair, he can decorate the taller parts of the tree. Since Ella is smaller, she only gets to do the bottom.
Besides the family Christmas tree, Ella also has a tree of her own. It’s a mini-Christmas tree with mini-ornaments. After she was done helping Owen, it’s time for her to decorate her own tree. With our family tree, we’ve got a bright star on top which Owen puts there. On Ella’s tree, she has a beautiful Angel on top.
Voila!! The mini-Christmas tree is perfect as a decoration on the table.
